Centralized Process Automation and Workforce Optimization

Centralised scattered operational departments into a single Central Control Room and redeployed the released workforce.

The Challenge

Production, Power House, Electrical and Mechanical each ran their own control function. The duplication tied up people and made coordination between departments slow.

Our Solution

Working with factory personnel, the OPEX team and the Audit team, we centralised the four functions into one Central Control Room and planned the workforce transition department by department.

Key Activities

  • Current-state mapping of the four control functions
  • Central Control Room design
  • Automation of the consolidated workflow
  • Workforce transition and job-rotation planning
  • Joint delivery with OPEX and Audit teams

Outcomes

  • Control room headcount reduced from 27 to 9
  • 18 employees redeployed to other factories through structured job rotation
  • Single coordinated control function in place
